External Wall Insulation
For existing buildings, thermal performance can be improved by the inclusion of external insulation systems over existing constructions.
We can supply these systems as well as finish them with compatible thin-coat render systems for a robust, long-lasting and professional finish.
Insulating the outside of your house will give you a new weather proof layer that will protect you from penetrating damp for years to come, and should deal with any existing penetrating damp problems you may have had due to poor wall finish. The insulation will also increase the temperature of the internal surface of the wall, making it less likely that you will get condensation problems on your walls.
External wall insulation also improves the appearance of the property, thus adding value, and reduces the amount of energy used in the home making it more efficient and more comfortable.
Spray render service
We are also specialists in the application of modern spray-applied thin-coat render systems, including acrylic and silicon-based renders which offer unbeatable longevity and weather-tightness. Unlike cement-based systems, which become brittle and inflexible, leading to cracking and water-penetration, modern acrylic and silicon-based systems offer greater flexibility and are more water repellent.
Available in a wide variety of through-coloured tints and textures, they can both imitate traditional finishes or offer a crisp contemporary look.
The business recently invest in spray render equipment for fast and dependable application of render systems. This equipment can also be utilised to apply self-cleaning, insulating renders, dry dash receiver coats, and even to pump self-levelling floor screeds for underfloor heating systems as thin as 50mm or less.
Using this equipment is less labour intensive and means fast installation times.
ICF houses
Housing is changing fast - driven by the government's carbon zero initiatives and building regulation requirements, better , more robust, more efficient homes, with better thermal performance, better indoor air quality and which are cheaper to run and maintain, are fast becoming a legal requirement.
By 2016 all new houses must be carbon neutral, with a level of thermal performance exceeding even today's standards.

Our ICF system is inherently airtight due to its joint-less wall construction, can be built to unsurpassable levels of thermals performance, and benefits from the heart-retaining properties of thermal mass construction. For the client, this guarantees an airtight, highly insulated and cheap to 'run' house at competitive initial cost.
As a system it has been proven for over 40 years in Europe and the US, is fast to erect compared to timber systems and, including a cast-in-situ concrete structural core, is of robust and long-lasting construction.
